Project Pictures

The image to the left is of our prototype UAV. This UAV has completed fully autonomous missions out in the field. Currently all the electronics are on the quadcopter, but soon will be transferred onto the octocopter.

The image to the right is the octocopter. By the end of the project we will have all the electronics and imaging systems on this UAV. The UAV will be able to cover a field of about 1 kilometer, it is more stable then a small quadcopter, as well as power efficient. 

To the left you is the antenna tracker our team decided to develop during the middle of winter quarter. The purpose of the antenna tracker was to improve the range of communication between the UAV and the base station. More information in the team documents.

 

Above is a picture of the Senior Design Team meeting Rikola Inc. Rikola is the manufacturer of the MEMS FPI device that we will be using.
